Viewer Discretion is Advised. (Seriously.)

The video for M.I.A’s new single “Born Free”, directed by Romain Gavras. Heavy shit. Instinct is to crack a ginger joke.

…and Andrew WK, DAT Politics, and more. Plus there’s another strange and creepy music video from YACHT if you enjoyed the first one.

The Tallest Man On Earth- Where Do My Bluebirds Fly

I. Love. This. Man.

This one’s from his first album, Shallow Grave. His new album is called The Wild Hunt and it’s fantastic. Listen to ‘King of Spain’ and ‘The Wild Hunt’.

Onra- The Anthem

From his Vietnamese-sampled instrumental hip-hop album “Chinoiseries”.

Sick.

YACHT- Psychic City (Voodoo City)

They’re pretentious as hell, but this song is just so damn catchy. The whole album is actually pretty fantastic.

They’ll be at Sasquatch- in the “Rumpus Room”, which is apparently what they’re calling the dance-party/comedy tent this year. Stoked.

New music video from The XX. It’s very strange. Watch the whole thing, it’s just bizarre and repetitive until you realize what they’re doing.

Tobacco- Fresh Hex (Feat. Beck)

BEATS.

Off of Tobacco’s upcoming album “Maniac Meat”. I love Beck. I love this. There’s a good chance you’ll hate it, but listen anyways.

Tegan and Sara- Feel It In My Bones (Acoustic) This one was originally a song that Tegan and Sara wrote and performed on Tiesto’s last album, but they’ve been doing this wicked live acoustic version on their Sainthood tour the last few months. Love.

The Kills- Sour Cherry

“Shout when you wanna get off the ride.”

An Horse just released an EP of remixes! They called it “Beds Rearranged”. So clever. There’s nothing like adding a killer beat to a favourite song to make it fresh again.

Broken Bells- High Road

Danger Mouse + James Mercer (lead singer of The Shins). Doesn’t get much better than this. The album is self-titled, and I’m gonna go ahead and say that it will be one of the best of 2010. Other gems from the first few listens are “The Ghost Inside” and “October”. They’re playing a show in Vancouver on Wednesday, May 26th at the Commodore… a quick stop on the way to Sasquatch perhaps?

Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain, why is he climbing a mountain?

Speaking of LCD Soundsystem… This is a video from their original guitarist Phil Mossman’s new band- Fall On Your Sword. I watch it at least 3 times a day. Keep your eye out for an actual album from these guys- I can’t really imagine it being bad.

LCD Soundsystem’s new album “This Is Happening” will be out on May 18th… expect plenty of new songs to fuel your recreational substance abuse. You can listen to the whole thing at www.lcdsoundsystem.com/thisishappening
